I feel weird comparing 'ways to butcher people thousands of miles away' on their respective merits, but my logic was that drones make for a greater calling card for terrorists. "Look at those evil cowardly Westerners massacring us from the comfort of their own homes, whereas we take the fight to them and are willing…
The difference is that drones are essentially risk-free and that retaliation is virtually impossible. So it makes it even more awful, in my view.
While I agree on some points, I must admit I really liked this film. I think it's it's hands-down Niccol's best film since Gattaca (not that there was plenty of competition). The movie can seem dull and repetitive to some, but the repetitiveness is key to the drama. Hawke did a fine job, and I found Greenwood's…
No, it appears later. Hader wasn't in the cast then.
Boy, that was one crowded goodbye sequence at the end of the show…
The Homesman is a book adaptation, and a quite faithful one from what I gathered. So, people surviving/dying have nothing to do with aping No Country or not.
Yeah, when I saw Aidy Bryant's reel, I was like "OK, that's not real footage, it's just a sketch"…
I would be interested to know your opinion about The Kindly Ones once you get to it (if you do). Maybe that will finally give me incentive to finish it. I abandoned it three times. Not that it was bad, it was just so… copious
Watching Saturday Night Live backwards made me realize that the whole "The Tina-Fey-era was a golden age" thing is utter bullshit. There are good episodes, there are bad episodes, there are tremendously awful episodes. Same as it ever was.
There are so many weak things in Jupiter Ascending, but I still found myself recommending it to a lot of people, solely for the visuals. I wish I could say it about a better movie, but it might be one of the most gorgeous movies I've seen (well, in the "CGI-gorgeous" subcategory).
I Wish is slowly growing into one of my favorite movies ever. I agree that's it's more "sentimental" than Still walking, but god, does that movie pierce my heart everytime I watch it. And that's a great achievement for a film in which no one dies or is dying, and everyone is in a state of relative happiness.
I think the correct name is Predator 2

"I want to play the Punisher ! I want it ! I want it ! Well, I don't know what I want…"
I'd kingdom the hell out of his crystal sk… yeah, it doesn't make any sense…
Good ! I'm sick of those lame 2-D concerts and those instruments and players cut in cardboard…
Between this and "the moons of Jupiter", the guy knows his astronomy
