I assume you read them all in English ? Cause I read The City & The City in French, so, no real problem whatsoever :)
Kraken was at times difficult to follow in English, but since it's supposed to be be messy (at least I guess), it kinda adds to the enjoyment.

I'm French. I read and enjoyed The Scar and The City and the City in French, then I tackled Kraken in English. It went okay. But Perdido Street Station is a whole other beast.

Well… English :)

What I finished :
- Brian Evenson's Altmann's Tongue : so, that where it all came from… It's absolutely excellent and stomach-churning, with occasional dashes of unexpected poignancy. Evenson is on his way to become one of my favorite writers.
- Edney Silvestre's Happiness is easy : it both reads as a thrilling

Come on, Faye Dunaway in the helicopter chasing William Holden in the Mercedes was breathtaking !

The Lego Movie : Well, I expected the gorgeous graphics. I expected the silly references. I expected the manic humor. What I didn't expect is me crying like a baby towards the end. I regret stubbornly refusing to watch this when it was on the big screen.

However, Mooney is repeatedly having more airtime than Bennett.

I'm afraid it is

I understand people not loving Maps To the Stars (I found it was great, personally), but, regardless of what you think of it, it's Cronenberg's punkest and most outlandish effort since Existenz, maybe even Naked Lunch. It's great news in and of itself.

It was funny with the exact right dose of creepy.
"- Take care of her…
- (gentle, understanding smile) Death to America"

He's getting obviously better.

Hurray for reunited Mooney/Bennett. Although their interactions with the pedestrians weren't as funny as I expected. The 'Tourists' sketch from last year was way better in that regard.

I liked the finale, but even if I didn't, they previously made so many excellent "finale-like" episodes that i'd have forgiven them in a heartbeat

Same thing here, even if it actually took me slightly out of the movie, and it remains the reason why I can't talk about the movie with the same passion as many others..

I took my courage on both hands yesterday and finally went out to see the 170 minutes of Hard to be a god. My oh my, what an experience. I don't think we're spared a single bodily fluid throughout the movie. It's an epic and mesmerizing celebration of ugliness, that i won't soon forget. Pretty much impossible to

Or Jennifer Lawpez

The second episode was a real cameo-fest for a lot of beloved Pawnee residents. But still no Shauna Malwae-Tweep in sight ? She has to be in the season finale.

After reading it 4 times and drawing a diagram, I decided to upvote your comment

The thing is, I know the Great A'Tuin. But the avatars around here are so small that I just assumed, "meh, another one of those Simpsons references they seem to enjoy around these parts".

Considering it's one of the first slasher films, it holds up remarkably well, methinks. Those phone calls always give me the creeps.
