You're not nuts, but your definition of "game" is narrow, especially in a situation where people (like thatgamecompany) are actively trying to be experiment with the capabilities of interactive media.

Entering/exiting ANY of the PS3's settings is instantaneous.

Otherwise known as the slow, subtle process of becoming irrelevant to pop culture.

Either 4 or 6. The solo Elizabeth looks like concept art-meets-90s stock photo, and the newer ones look like quick 'shop jobs.

Yeah maybe I am.

I'm not calling out objectification. I think I'm just paying more attention to pack art these days (maybe we all are?) and how disappointing it is to see how far these games need to reach to grab an audience (Bioshock Infinite is another one, just in the past week).

Obligatory cleavage shot. Is that their key art? I bet it'll end up as the pack art. Or something more gratuitous.

There aren't any other PS3 games you've wanted up to now, or will want in the future? Have you played Journey?

"Kill those fucking Yankees who have been torturing Iraqi captives; Kill those fucking Yankees who ordered them to torture; Kill their daughters, mothers, daughters-in-law and fathers; Kill them all slowly and painfully."

Thanks for letting me know about this. I'll be buying it 2nd hand.

Why would you own an Xbox AND a PC?

This one puts an adolescent girl in the foreground.

PS3s are relatively affordable these days...

Well the game is 10 years old....

You're mad, Greg.

"Chinese people around him that were into dirty movies "put up with" watching skin flicks from South Korea or Taiwan."

Why not "GoTY good"? Not long enough? The polish and strength/execution of concept are on GoTY level. What part of it isn't? Pricetag?

I'd recommend giving Journey a play. Of these 5 (along with Walking Dead) it's going to be the game that's best remembered and most referenced a year from now, 5 years from now, and a decade from now.

I'm with you on both points; it's neat to see these games get the nominations but I feel like the sheer outrage that may come from having a downloadable game win probably scares Spike.

I don't really see the value in giving it to a highly-iterative sequel like Mass Effect or Assassin's Creed, although they are excellent games. For me it has to be either Walking Dead or Journey, and I'd probably choose Journey for how daring its concept was and how it throws everything we've come to expect from
