I've been watching the original recipe NXT on the Network for the first time. The episode after his debut, Reigns cuts a promo in what should still be his character. He's in a suit and tie, dismisses Byron Saxton, and says "when you're the man, all you have to do is wake up." Perfect. Boy did they miss the boat.

Exactly. All of the historical context adds so much depth. And it does make me wonder if this is the writers making the case that Ward would not have been bad if it hadn't been for Garrett.

So happy that Ward is back. IMO, he's as vital and interesting a piece of the ensemble as anyone else, other than Coulson. His heel turn was really when this show went from mediocre diversion to awesome. Of all the comic shows, I consider this one 1b, with Arrow 1a.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels like Bryan is heeling on us too. Smackdown very subtly feels like the "fuck you, that's why" show right now.

This x100

What bothered me most was that they STILL couldn't let any of the faces get any real upper hand. The argument is to save the payoff, and as a lifelong fan I get that, but that has been the line of defense since 2013-14. No matter what, HHH and Stephanie always have to be a step ahead and too cool for everyone else.

The only three reasons I even cared about this show were Joe, Reigns/Braun, and the intrigue around the finish to Goldberg/Owens. I watched it all the way through because our DIRECTV got hit by lightning. I skipped two different segments to watch old Nitros. Raw's weekly show is terrible most weeks, and this show was

Steph Heat is the new XPac Heat. She is a detriment to every single story she ever gets involved in. No matter who else is involved, I refuse to watch a segment she's in. If I'm watching live, I turn the channel. DVD, I fast forward it

A friend and I were discussing this whole Goldberg thing in general, and having the title being involved with him and Lesnar. My friend is a mark who loves the idea. During our conversation, I hit upon a fun idea. What if WWE leans all the way into Goldberg as a short match killer? They tried to fit him into the usual

Agreed. I still think Charlotte is the best of the bunch, but Becky and Alexa are right there, Alexa mostly because of character work, but she is still no slouch in ring

The undercard was FIRE. Bayley still has a lot of work to do though, she doesn't look crisp at all, very awkward. Putting Bray over Cena for the belt feels too bold a step for this company creatively, but I'll hold out hope. I just hope they don't toss Owens and AJ aside now that Mania is here. AJ particularly is

After the comment about pretending to be someone else, the Superior is Mace right? That's a very deft slight of have. The audience will chalk it up to his known past and therefore move past it

The prevailing theory for a long time was that Barbara was gonna be Harley, but they went in an opposite direction

Idk man. For the longest time, I considered Flair the clear number one, but after going back and watching a lot of Michaels stuff from the time he was drawing so poorly as champ, the guy was ridiculously charismatic, athletic, sold his ass off, and was way ahead of his time. The perception of that run was colored by

I think it's time to start having the discussion of AJ being added to, or replacing someone in, the Michaels/Flair/Hart all-timer group

I'm glad to see I am not the only one who is miffed by this. I always read it as she discovered that about herself with Talia/Nyssa, which added a nice dimension to the characters of both, but this aggressively lesbian version feels like an oversimplification

There are some really great pieces here. Owens, Rollins, Sheamus, Cesaro, and Jericho, Sasha (as a heel), Charlotte, Cedric Alexander, Brian Kendrick, no Stephanie, Rusev. But everything else pretty much sucks. Raw is the distillation of WWE's problems, awful booking and infinitely juvenile outlooks on personality

I gotta be honest, between the Lance red herring and his totally conspicuous overreaction, Felicity's boyfriend igS toneither be Prometheus or be working for him

I have started each season of this show, and have only managed to finish the first one. I know that a lot of the motifs and stuff strike many as cool and edgy, but it's all a bunch of fluff surrounding zero substance. This show has almost no good storytelling qualities and can't get out of its own way to be something

This show was pretty bad. Even the interesting stuff, like Rollins-Jericho-Owens hinges on the assumption that the fans just accept that the Triple H stuff is just dropped. As they have pointed out on camera ad nauseum, he is married to the boss and is literally behind the curtain. That is insulting to the
