I appreciate that you added this because I'm very farsighted and if it weren't for the "ABSURDLY LARGE" font option on my phone's Kindle app, I would be unable to read many things a well as I do. I'm not losing my sight (this has been confirmed) but as early as age 18 I struggled with reading for as long as I wanted

Uggh anti-e-book snobs are the worst. I have some kind of arthritis-y problem going on with my hands (can't afford to see a specialist yet) and it hurts me too much to hold a book open. The ease of holding my Kindle has rejuvenated my love of reading. I am eternally thankful for it.

Yeah- I'm super serial tired of the snarky bitchy for the sake of bitchy around here. I literally just finished 100 Years of Solitude like, three weeks ago and I'm a smart, well read thirty something. Books find us at different times in our lives, and whatever. No need to be a giant snob about books.

Yeah, since when is there an expiration date on reading classics? Everyone has huge gaps in their knowledge. I didn't read To Kill a Mockingbird or The Metamorphosis until well after high school. I majored in English and I still haven't read Moby Dick, Madame Bovary, Richard III, and like a million more things that

Objectifying women/consuming material that objectifies women in a public place is, in my experience, not at all uncommon. And giving zero fucks about it always seems, to me, like an act of hostility. It's certainly nothing worthy of respect.

Yet another reason I prefer to bring a Kindle with me: so I don't get singled out by people who want to shit on my reading choices or end up on some dumb Internet list praising people for being moderately literate.

Wow, Kara, you're kind of a killjoy. Also, a snob and a half:

Oh bumhug, I'm just a bacteria laden human being like everyone else; I just happen to be fairly photogenic when it comes to silly pictures.

No, it's not. It amounts to an apprenticeship and some correspondence course work for most, and can be completely in less than two years (vs CNMs which have 6+ years of education). There are some programs that are two year associate degree programs, but they're largely unregulated as there isn't a major regulatory

The US is so much a for profit system that so many absolutely necessary medical services get neglected- no matter if we're talking about OB, peds, psych, whatever. And of course this is going to hurt poor and rural communities the most.

These are my favourite nursing tanks: http://undercovermama.com/

You can attach them to any nursing bra, and wear them under anything to convert it into a nursing top. Plus, they're much cheaper than many of the other nursing tanks out there.

As someone who has been nursing almost continuously for 4 years, I've found a lot of things that work. I really like wrap dresses or faux-wrap dresses. Wear a nursing tank underneath or a nursing bra with a stretchy non-nursing tank. The same thing applies to any shirt with a deep v neck. You can also do shirts with

like it's a little extreme, but he's bad.

everyone, please respond with the sins of your ancestors and relations, since we're all exactly and equally as bad as our bloodline

Nursing clothes are kind of cringe-inducing for sure, but I've found a few good things at Milk, and as we speak I'm wearing the Dote Studio Lindsay top. As we speak I'm also nursing— typing this over my baby's head. Mother of the Year right here.

This . . . this is . . . a stretch. Who out there thinks that Native Americans were the ones doing all the lynching? This is like reading an article about daylight and being upset that the Sun wasn't explicitly mentioned as its genesis. There's no controversy here.

Even if you make it through the doors, then you have to deal with the over zealous sales people that WILL NOT LEAVE YOU ALONE.

I'd love to be able to even make it thru the doors of a LUSH store... But the stench is just. too. much.

boobs both somehow smaller and larger! Yep. And lower. And aereolas bigger, and all you want to do is hide them- put them on lockdown. What a luxury to keep your boobs covered! Man, I never would have guessed that attitude would happen when I was in my 20s.

It's always more than a little strange when you see people who claim to be pro-Jewish and pro-Israel describing Muslims as filthy and essentially sub-human. DOES THAT LANGUAGE NOT RING A FUCKING BELL?!?
