Actually, losing control of the board hurts significantly less than betting 100 on a daily double that you know you would lose. The amount that you stand to gain (-100 + -its actual value) is significantly more than if you let someone else, late game, get the double (+lots on their side/equivalent of -lots your side).

This is only true of the large 2-handed weapons. Small weapons still attack towards lock on.

Unlike all the other weapons, the heavy weapons swing in the direction you are moving, not towards the enemy. This means that you have to stop, or at least move towards your target before attacking. Otherwise you just swing in a random direction.
