Samantha Bee might be one of the most irritating and unfunny people that has ever been on TV.

I wish Samantha Bee was at least half as funny as she thinks she is.

Still hard for me to parse not having seen it in a theater...sometimes people laugh because it’s awesome how the director just gonzo goes for it with grand guignol craziness like Suspiria (where that basically saved a shitty movie).

The performative laughing at horror movies phenomenon is too common to work as evidence of a movie’s quality. At my screening of The Witch there was a group of people that laughed so loud at a particular scene involving a goat that I couldn’t make out some dialogue. Does that mean The Witch was bad?

Or maybe they don’t entertain some people? Namely the people who vote in these lists?

I think Sorry to Bother You deserves to be on the list if only for its political commentary and probably my favorite plot twist of the year.

Sharp Objects was a complete mess and a disappointment. I find it interesting that it’s only #11 here after it got almost uniform ‘A’ episode grades while it aired.

I mean on one hand doing this is just not cool. On the other, I can’t imagine ever smacking or tackling my parents for turning off a game. I’m sure I can’t claim that I’d handle it well, but there would not be any sort of violence against others.

I would include Rachel Maddow specifically for her botched “WE HAVE TRUMP’S TAX RETURN” bullshit stunt.

Succession being immediately dismissed by critics while Sharp Objects got praised was a huge mistake. The opinions started flipping after the first five or six episodes but it was already too late.

I think dissuading was the result, not the intent.
