Definitely. Part of the beauty, for me, is in just how direct it is, and how that directness, combined with the emotion in Tracy's delivery, just makes the impact all the greater.

"I got a job that pays all our bills
You stay out drinking late at the bar
See more of your friends than you do of your kids
I'd always hoped for better"

Pretty sure that the idea of the song is that you can't just drive away from problems in your life. The song's really a total bummer if you take just a second to listen to any of the verses.

Booo!

Definitely a B- season for me. A frustrating stretch of subpar episodes midseason, but it slowly crept up to being decent again near the end.

I was just thinking kinda the same thing. But it did seem to right itself as it got closer to the end of the season. I still don't think the show is all that good, but it's good enough to watch casually and not overthink.

Huzzah! Another good one!

Yeah, this feature's become pretty weak.

I dunno, guys. I really don't think Underground is that good. Everything about it, the acting, writing, the direction, just feels overdone to me, like they're trying so hard to be an epic prestige drama or whatever.

Nardwuar forever

Erica’s admission that she went to jail for armed robbery is "well-trodden material"? What? This feels like the first time we've learned much of anything about Erica. I was so happy to finally get some character moments with her.

I still find it remarkable and wonderful how much the show has deepened and matured over the years, without losing its sense of fun and whimsy. It's just great.

Mountain Goats banter forever

I wanted that exact thing to happen.

Presently catching up on a variety of sketch shows (Inside Amy Schumer, Kroll Show, Key and Peele), as well as Veep and Silicon Valley. Just finished The Wire, so the next finished HBO show on my list is Enlightened!

Hope they played an Undercover immediately following.

Two small things I really loved: 1) the robot that appears in every episode and 2) the use of trumpet, especially when solo, in the score.

Cube is my favorite of this type of flick.

Bop it.

So wait wait wait… is this the Farting Boner Corpse movie?
