I realize this did sound patronizing, which I didn't mean at all. I understand phobias are awful, I have some too! I was just trying to suggest that sometimes fear of bugs can be assuaged a little through more research and exposure. I didn't realize this was such a sensitive subject. That's completely different though. In my experience, a lot of people hate them just because they know nothing about them and they're not fun to look at. You know the, "Ew, gross" attitude. I wasn't trying to patronizing to people with real phobias at all.

It's wrong for me to say that people who "fear bugs" need to at least try to get the fuck over it? Sure, they're not as cute as a puppy or kitten and they're hard to anthropomorphize. But!
