Yes, yes she did. Well, she confirmed that he was shot at the very least, and those guards seem like they'd be thorough about this sort of thing

Wow, I completely missed all that subtext when I read the book in school. And now it feels like a missed opportunity.
Speaking as a(n ex-)Hindu, I don't think we'll be doing much embracing, to be honest. There's no concept of the Rapture in our scriptures and we (and the Buddhists) don't even believe in a permanent afterlife. We would have far cooler cults. And better riots.
Precisely. Lily was Nora's daughter, deeply loved and wanted by her. You don't just 'give away' your daughter like she's some sort of property.
Looked to me like they were standing still in order to stare at the ominous message being written in the sky
Dammit, g2, you better not end up being proved right by the series finale's flash forward scenes. Let Shosh have this.
I guess the series has satisfactorily concluded the stories of all of the guys on Girls. Here's hoping the last two episodes do a brilliant job of all the female characters' stories as well. (Especially, ya know, given its title.)
You're right. But I am rather unhappy with the idea of the show rotating love interests - including Petra, who really deserves better at this stage - in and out of these two characters' lives until they finally get together. Bit boring to have to sit through all that, to be honest.
If the telenovela format is so important to the writers that they just *had* to kill Michael, why are they making Raf's heart glow for Petra? I don't think we're going to want to invest in another Barney/Robin situation, so any developments on this front will be awfully grating.
I've had random therapy moments from complete randos! The epiphanies don't come out of nowhere; normally they end up being the last straw to break my obstinate back. Hearing it from this pawn shop dude, on top of also getting that feedback from everyone she was close to, must have finally done it for Marnie. (I hope.)
Jane's finally getting her groove back! I cannot wait!
I love the sort of lovestruck/awed face Rafael puts on when he's staring at both Jane and Petra these days. I would, too, if I had such two brilliant baby mamas.
I kept worrying he'd leave just one standing and then I'd spend all day obsessing over the stupid pin.
These are the most relieving words I've read today.
Tandy's an idiot, sure, but he's also so dang adorable! That turd has really grown on me.
Marnie's not supposed to be really talented, is she? I don't even mind the character, but her voice tends to grate.
Thank you for that perspective. I don't think Marnie is as much of a monster as some of the commenters make her out to be. (She's still pretty unlikeable though.)
You are very right, of course. Sometimes, I forget these are fictional characters who can have whatever arcs the writers say they can.
… funnier?
Shosh was being very considerate and sweet with Ray at the beginning of the episode. I hope she has a bigger role in the next episode. Between what happened with Charlie, Hermie, and then Marnie, that guy needs a good friend right about now.
