Hell, look how they’re characterizing the show’s CREATOR for daring to have a negative opinion of the season. AVC really wants to paint this season as criticism-immune and it’s weird.

We get it, you really hate Nic Pizzolatto for daring to have an opinion about *checks notes* the show he created.

I enjoyed S4 but these criticisms still have some validity, and there isn’t some inherent evil in daring to voice them.

I would’ve loved if Hank’s mail-order bride showed up at the very end, after all. Would’ve been a nice way to subvert that annoying trope, if nothing else.

Anyway, sure would be nice if the entertainment world were responsible enough and respected the justice system enough to stop romanticizing vigilante violence as if

This is how we speak about music now, I guess. ‘Good business decisions’. Pure cynicism, and folks like AVC are fine with it.

People like you truly pathetic and sad.

It’s really weird how this review doesn’t bother to mention the several clear references to season one of the series. The spiral. Travis’s last name being Kohle. ‘Tuttle Industries’. C’mon y’all.

They want to imply Eccleston is covering for something villainous here without coming right out and slandering the man. It’s cowardice hiding behind a smirk.

Damn, you know the motivations of this complete stranger and the truth of this situation involving two completely strangers perfectly.

So any criticism of this film and/or filmmaker is automatically racist and sexist, then? That’s what we’re going with? Big gaslighting energy, I guess.

don’t forget Yellowjackets, The Thing, and The Shining.

I liked that Foster got to say ‘star-shaped’ in reference to a wound again, all these many years later.

My community college experience was absolutely wonderful, and it burns me that community colleges are perpetually dragged for pretty much no reason other than smirking assumptions.

No actually serious awards show should be taking box office receipts into consideration, period.

They’ve gotta be stoked at AVC HQ right now. Gervais won a Golden Globe? That’s grist for at least ten Serious Thinkpieces.

‘apologizing is for beta cuck libs’ - this football dork, probably

‘no political party has a monopoly on bad behavior’.

no, but there is one specifically that is noticeably much more psychotic and fascist in recent years, and that’s inarguable no matter your investment in both sides-ism.

That movie is a masterpiece and is comically underrated. All three leads are unbelievable. One of Swinton’s best, which is really saying something. “Michael Clayton” and “In The Bedroom” are Wilkinson’s most underrated two roles.

I’m glad she’s out of prison but she never should’ve been imprisoned anyway, and her ex-boyfriend CERTAINLY should not be in prison for life without the possibility of parole. Both sentences are draconian and not at all considerate of the unique mitigating circumstances.
