kind of the same for me. After finishing the story missions and getting all phone records, etc ... (minus the echoes because it seems to be bugged for me), and being a PvE player, the DZ has no interest for me. Replaying the story missions for better loot also looks more tedious (and less fun) than replaying the story…

I don’t understand why people get angry. It was the same system in (for example) Tomb raider, both skills and weapons. Nothing new here.
