I think my response was "Wuh wuh whaatt tf just happened"

I feel smug because I've watched the whole series, really enjoyed it. Mathew Baynton is really fun and for once the comedy sidekick (Dave) isn't horribly obnoxious.

I'd expect Mt Weather's comms system to be down after the site exploded. It's not a big deal, it just made me chuckle.

Well I'm not sure how many came down with Abby and Kane but the teen delinquents (35 or so, minus Octavia) will follow Bellamy and the remaining Farm stationers (30?) will stick with Pike so he just needs to get maybe a third of the rest. A lot of them will like Pike from when he was their teacher.

Hopefully Lexa will make that point next episode, although I don't think they can surround the camp in any number as Pike could storm out in an armoured vehicle and wipe out huge numbers. The grounders should hide in the trees and pick off any Skikru hunter-gatherers. The situation in Arkadia is really interesting and

Damn, if Bellamy knew about that he sure as hell would never trust Lexa. Before this episode I really wanted to see Bellamy and Lexa hurl abuse and grievances at each other.

From Bellamy's perspective though Clarke could have grabbed Octavia and kept her safe, like he would have tried to. Clarke knew that was Bellamy's highest priority and she lied to him about it. She gambled hugely and was lucky that he managed to destroy the acid fog but he wouldn't have thought it was worth it if

I'm glad the writers went there and that they didn't let the fans' worship of Bellamy put them off.
I'd love a full season (or maybe just 5 episodes) with Clarke and Bellamy on opposite sides, splitting the delinquents between them. It seems Octavia will be done with him soon which should be interesting.

"He knew those people were there to protect them. He knew they are no Azgeda and he knew Azgeda was interested in destroying the alliance"

It definitely needed more build up as Bellamy's move should have been a shock (as we like him) but not had people doubt the writing team. Bellamy does know Pike though, he was his teacher and they spent the week between eps 2 and 3 protecting Mount Weather. It seems that once Bellamy changes loyalty he is all in. The

I think that fits with what he did this episode not wanting to kill the wounded, Bellamy only wants to neutralise immediate threats (as he perceives them).
Although if Finn hadn't shot the guy Bellamy might have decided to later. That's always been an interesting theme in The 100 - what to do with people who could tell

Great analysis of this scene. Clarke really misjudged it, thinking Bellamy could have been so under Pike's spell to commit an atrocity but would come to heel if she smooth-talked him or clicked her fingers. I'm glad he threw it in her face that she left Octavia to die in TonDC (and directly lied to him). Good learning

He didn't see them as a sentry army, he saw them as warriors planning an imminent attack.

Thank you for this. It's not bad writing at all to have a character regress. Growth and development doesn't just go along one route and making someone wiser. This show may have several more seasons, there needs to be bumps in the road for someone like Bellamy to be an interesting character.

It needed clearer explanation but 1) the radio wasn't good enough and 2) the grounder camp might have attacked Arkadia rather than leave

The thing is he doesn't see them as innocents - there is an army of warriors who just arrived at his doorstep and last time that happened they were set to attack. He doesn't trust Lexa and her 'peacekeeping' talk. It's not like they are a village with children there so he won't think he's gone full-Finn. He probably

He doesn't think they're her people though. He despises grounder culture. He thinks his sister was in imminent danger of being in Arkadia when it was attacked by the grounder army and he has saved her. Even with Clarke this week he was all "I'm doing this for your own good".

Bellamy has been a killer for a long time. He shot a lot of people in MW in cold blood and has carried that through into killing grounders this season without flinching. He committed a massacre radiating MW and he's murdered a LOT of people. He doesn't think he's being reckless, he thinks killing these 300 warriors

You're forgetting that a large portion of the Ark hated Abby, Kane, Jaha and other Council members. Even if they've lived in relative security for 3 months they probably still don't like or trust Abby & Kane, who just made a major deal with a former enemy without telling them.

Should have used the radios Raven and Bellamy had in ep3, the range on that connection was Mt Weather to Polis!
