It's a pretty good album. A little dull in spots, but the high points more than make up for that.

"Impossible Germany" is jack shit?

The 70's movie Kazan made of this with De Niro is an interesting watch. You can tell that it was based on something unfinished.

Pretty nervy to have a former dance-punk guy complain about that.

Certainly their most prescient.

True, but it feels more relevant these days, even though it's not really anything new.

Top 3, at least.

This band has never given a fuck about being cool.

Yeah, the middle doesn't go anywhere. But everything else is great.

So many people are really misinterpreting the lyrics.

I like it. I don't mind some cynicism mixed in with the earnestness, we live in cynical times. At least you can dance to it!

I love everything about this movie.

Not many bands today could pull off those lyrics. They can.

I've never seen those, so I can only assume you're right. But this is arguably worse because it tries to beat you over the head with a saccharine, cliched "message" while really trying to sell you something.

I'm the same pretty much. It's a very pretty song and I'm looking forward to hearing what comes next.

Followed by a louder, more serious "DO NOT SEEK THE TREASURE"

Mulholland is a very close second.

You always left me feeling satisfied.

I think the whole of season 4 is great, not just that episode.

That's all a movie can ask for, really.
