I was totally in with NP, get a nice little 6 in there and bring it back to its soul. But wait! That Samba ad - this puppy is titled as a 912, but the he says the body is a 911, which would start with a 30,31, or 32 instead of 45. Not only is the body set for a 6, that dashboard looks like a 911 - five instrument

The best options on a Porsche are simple: none. Buy a stripper, er,ah, one with no options. You'll get a hell of a car, save a ton on depreciation, and no one will be the wiser.

Yes but I give her credit for the composition, its almost fractal. Vertical face spiraling around to the long horizontal line of the plane.

The current limo, the Beast has styling clues that say Cadillac, but that is as far as it goes...its nothing like any vehicle, Cadillac, or for that matter GM sells, except for the truck chassis. Maybe if you thought of it as a Hummer...

Or serve Miller Lite

Actually, if you take away all the carving on the body, it reminds me of a very different S "class".

Fuck the FLA and its 30 year lifespan. Today a well maintained 30 year old 911 will easily have another twenty years ahead of it. Lets set the goal at 50 years of great driving and lots of class!

Hmmm...looks like Kinja is overwhelmed presenting this thread, at least in the "by time" view.

Raphael, thanks for being open to creativity: VW Syncro Westfalia!

Hell yeah on looking to the off-road evaluation. Of the Cayenne and its VW and Audi siblings, the Porsche has the best off-road cred. Adjustable ground clearance, hill descent, skid plates on the option list (well, what isn't on the list with a Porsche, except a transfer case low), etc. Nobody is going to the Rubicon,

Well, I didn't know there was a T3 either, but basically the vehicle is priced at KBB. Thats not Crack Pipe, so I went with NP.

There were a bunch of these Glas coupes running around SoCal back when 911s first appeared...

Autocar with an Orville sleeper mod. Orville offered this for a variety of truck builders, the rear window is supposedly out of a 1941-46 Ford.

Third gear. When all those lease returns flood the market it will also be a big win for people looking to get into a well kept CPO vehicle. Do you think Porsche leased many 911 GT3s?

Like the ad says, this may be the holy grail of the Syclone/Typhoon world, but I'll guess there are ten people tops in that world, so there is one of these for everyone. So much for desirability. The dealer is smoking, but its not Marlboros - its the CP.

Uh...whats with the white paint on the roof...

Glad to see they have three radars on, so they can avoid hitting anything!

Takoma Park, Maryland's distinctive brownish grey takes the cake. When they are behind you hard to tell its the police. On the sides, the glaring blue graphics give them away.

Well, now I am really looking forward to the Washington DC show next week, which doesn't even have a Porsche display of any kind, not even a couple of vehicles from local dealers! #sourgrapes
