UGH!
Wonder Woman. I don't have any shame about it either! I was expelled from my pre-school for stealing rolls of toilet paper and tying the kids up with it like it was my lasso of truth. Good times. And Lynda Carter. OH MY LAWD.
I agree. Simone's early work on the new 52 Batgirl was fucking great… but you know DC editorial, they gotta fuck things up with their crossovers and 'events'! I don't hate the 'new' Batgirl, but I wish they had just ret-conned the whole thing and made this a number 1 since this isn't the same Barbara from the…
Totally true. However the beginning of the new 52 Batgirl run was really fun but it became an utter mess after a while.
DC editorial completely fucked her up by making it dark. Simone's Batgirl was a joy in the beginning; Barbara was just so happy to be able to move and go out in the night again. But the New 52 heads tied Gail Simone to all of those dumb crossovers and the comic went completely off the rails.
Editorial tied Gail Simone to the crossovers and 'Bat EVENTS' in the DC universe for the new 52. I rather enjoyed Simone's run up until the "Death of the Family" storyline, that crossover was terrible. If this Batgirl revamp keeps her squarely in her own area, then it'll be all the better for it.
As you should, since it's a really fun and well made movie
I figure it's all interference from Editorial and DC at large. Batwoman has all the potential to be totally amazing… and it IS fun since Kate Kane is a kick-ass character but the exodus of her original creative team shows that DC doesn't know how to leave well enough alone.
I really enjoy Batwoman a lot but this is definitely umm… a 'new' direction.
I know some Shisslers, but I'll be damned if I know a Shitler!
Cristela Alonzo is a complete joy and I'll give her show a shot but Friday nights? Honey, please, the network is just crying out for a cancellation.
It's from Heathers. Don't feel bad… you were inspired by some awesome source material!
Rosalyn ALWAYS charges extra after she babysits Calvin!
I have always loved the simple drawing of Calvin in the back seat of his mother's car holding up a large sign that reads "Help! I've been kidnapped!" and his mom is oblivious.
Ahh the Midnight Madness or whatever tale from AYAOTD It's my favorite one! Plus it had the guy who played one of the nerds on Swans Crossing and my sister and I would always laugh about that.
I'm reading Life After Life and it is so damn good! Next up is The Golem and the Jinni thanks to all of the recommendations from AV clubbers
I'm with you on the gut issues and I miss my Stoli!
Abso-LUTELY upvoted for not skipping EMF!
Martha Dumptruck will certainly want to go
