the fact that this only works for US based robo callers already makes it pointless. robocallers usually set up shop in countries outside of where they scam and/or where its not illegal. they make up a vast majority of the scam calls that come in.

This is nonsense. There was huge outcry and rage over the Steam leaking of information and it was rightly reported on, that doesn’t suddenly mean that Epic’s faults shouldn’t also be reported on. 

Because this is an obvious use case that they should have anticipated. They put on a massive sale with large numbers of discounts, people coming in and gobbling a bunch of them up is a logical thing to account for.

I think the increasing sales with each expansion is representative of many gamers sitting on the bench waiting for NMS to live up to the promise. Everyone was in love with the promise, and they’re all waiting for it, no matter how many patches it takes.
