Seriously? You do know that is how an internet blog works, right? It just regurgutates known facts, stories, pictures, etc. to spur comments and therefore traffic, and therefore income. Think about it, do you really open this thinking you are getting breaking news on some unheard-of subject? Nope, we open it to read

As Alton says: use mayonnaise in the eggs and don’t over cook!

I understand what you mean, “don’t let the payment dictate the price/financing” but the monthly payment is still important. You do need to know what you can afford to pay monthly and not exceed that. Just because it’s a great deal and financing is low doesn’t mean I can afford it and should buy it. The best way is

Welllll, they kinda are.....who else would read this shit? It’s not innovative journalism or WSJ analysis of current economic events. Most of it isn’t even original, it’s a rehash of something they googled last night. It’s like most of the internet and social media, made for the teeming masses. It’s really speaking to

Ahem....Tom, just thinking, if you designed an app for the process of buying cars....

Shoulda got the Ramboxes and the split tailgate.....I love those features. And not bad on the deal.

Well then using that thought process, financing at all is “bad”. Obtaining a car is never an investment that will grow, current craziness aside, so financially, yes, it will be better to not lease or buy but to walk.

Very well done. When used car prices skyrocketed last year who was laughing all the way to the bank? Those people coming off a lease....

Ahhhh, be careful with your data sources. That number is the total cost of housing; tax & insurance included. For comparison, you must break out just the principal & interest. The actual Census website where all this data comes from is not a straight link, but this explains it.

lol...don’t drive short distances” So waste gas and add more miles of wear and tear? And avoid extreme weather? Ok, everybody moves from AZ.

Yeah, full ownership isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. When you figure out how much you have paid for your house at the end of the mortgage, it’ll usually be much more than it’s worth. And that doesn’t count all those repairs. I figure my house will be worth 52% of what that total of the payments+interest+down

The car payments we are discussing don’t include insurance so why should the mortgage? Just talking straight principal+interest. And nationwide, for mortgages, it’s $1200 median so it is higher but crazy how close to each other they are getting.

The median mortgage payment is somewhere around $1200 so there are quite a few below $1000.

Huh, I really don’t mind it.

I agree, an absolute stupid name. But it will sell like crazy to the rich mall crawlers. Over-equipped with a bunch of gadgets.

It just depends on where you live and how far you drive. 32 miles would get me back and forth to work for 3 days without charging. I could spend quite some time without gas as I do not have many trips over 30 miles ever. Obviously, if you have a long commute, then no, not much of an upgrade over a hybrid.

You can have a car to sell at the end. The key is ensuring at the end of the lease the vehicle you leased is worth more than the buyout. You do that by buying some that does not depreciate as much as others.

Slightly different than most of the state tests but no better. Parallel parking is not necessary anymore, at least not every town and state. Urban areas I could see. But to test for something that rarely happens seems a waste. Why don’t they conduct all driving tests in the winter in snowy states? They drive half the

Am I missing something? Do you not still need gutters for a rain chain? The chain is just installed where the downspout would be, but it is still hooked up to the gutter. This is truly a ridiculous article. French drains, and proper grading are applicable with or without gutters. You can’t replace gutters with just Fre

Ahhh, those were the days. But they are over now. Fair winds and following seas you two.....enjoy yourselves.
