Three things: 1) it isn't a semantic point, as public radio stations are actually different things than commercial news stations. 2) You have a better case saying it's a picky point, but it really isn't that either, since so many of the plots, jokes, and the whole tone of the show are really off for an NPR station

Newsradio was not about a public radio station. It was a commercial news station (ROCKET FUEL….DAMN!)

Sure, but then you have to bring in all the "theme song explains the premise" shows from The Brady Bunch to Gilligan's Island to the Beverly Hillbillies etc

"And the exploding instrument panels… ugh."

Also that "On the Dark Side" Eddie and the Cruisers song. When I first learned those three chords I would just sing all three songs to them interchangeably (thinking I was pretty clever)

"All I do is kiss you
Through the bars of a rhyme"

I absolutely think that's true for the first three seasons, then I think it shifts to Michael. She does eventually move away from reception, of course, but that felt to me like something the writers felt forced to do, since you would expect someone as bright as her to have some level of ambition. Of course, in real

It's not a showy enough performance to win an Emmy—but the way she conveys so much without over the top emoting or caricature or tag lines is exactly what's brilliant about her acting.

ah. that version must be sort of…enigmatic. You'd better run, better run, faster than my  ' '

Wait… I can hear "gun" and "bullet" clearly in the chorus in the embedded video. What gives?
