NAFTA was a good deal back then and still is a good deal today. And there is a lot more to NAFTA than the auto industry.

I’m like 99% sure I would vote for a candidate who came in and was like: “Look, realistically, I don’t have the political capital to make any sweeping changes. This is primarily due to congressional gridlock and the inefficiencies of bureaucracy. So expect business as usual, but with slightly more competent…
Acquire wrote it as “KKK” without intending to make a reference to the American KKK, changing it from that is actually a good localization choice. To keep it “KKK” would have introduced a meaning to the phrase that wasn’t in the original language and that the original developers didn’t intend.
Oh God. We had an intern start in my group a couple of months ago. We have had several moments where we wonder how much of the world they’ve seen. One of them was when they wanted to fill their Jeep Compass’s tires to “like 100 psi,” very confidently stating that “it’s not like you could over fill them.” This is…
I’d say Tesla’s response is more of a story than anything else. Can you imagine of GM or Ford or Toyota came out after an accident and said “well yea, but this can happen to any car”. Like yea, no shit it can, but you don’t publicly say that you nitwits.
What the fuck man... Do you understand how expensive prosthetic limbs are? Do you understand that everything from going to school, to taking a piss is going to be different for this kid for life? They aren’t internet begging.. they set up a page where you can donate if you would like.. You know that family and friends…
If you don’t donate, then it ain’t your dime dumbass. That’s kind of how donations work. You know what I’m sick of? People asking idiotic questions. If that’s your line of thinking, why aren’t you asking why people donate to pet shelters, 9/11 first responders, cancer foundations, etc.? Shit, you don’t know THEIR…
Charity is about giving whenever you want. There’s no science to it. People either give because they want to save the kittens, or they don’t. It’s a very personal decision, so ranting about it is about as informative as complaining about people’s bedroom habits. Internet begging is no different than any other form of…
It’s even easier to ignore internet crowdfunding than it is to ignore the beggars on the streets, so I don’t really see what your problem is. It’s “your dime” that you’re not giving anyone anyways, so... why the rant?
Dude, all you have to do is not donate. There’s nobody forcing you to, so calm your tits.
Uh, no. It’s not necessarily German ego. They adopted *standards* (e.g. SAE) rather than commit to a no-payment-per-charge front-loaded business model per Tesla’s requirements for “open” use of supercharging. Heck, even Tesla couldn’t hold to that model.
Charging rates are measured in miles per hour (mph)? This is new to me. Am I missing something here?
IDK.
It’s probably the fact that the Tesla stuff isn’t really ready for use on public roads, as Tesla themselves have started to admit, now that they recognize some potential legal liability.
Elon, go home!
I’m here to call this comment stupid.
Sometimes people in front of you drive dangerously, and passing them and driving away from them is the safest thing you can do.
Harmlessly passing someone in a no passing zone isn’t being an “asshole” . Trying to murder two people is.
My first car was a 1980 4-Door VW Rabbit Diesel given to me by my Pop in 1987 who’d bought it new. Even with the blistering performance it’s 48HP put out, it still managed about 500 miles on a tank- which was important since there were only 2 places to buy Diesel within 250 miles of Silicon Valley back then. I think…
Well I have a TDI Passat and I think it’s just that VW did put a fair amount of effort into how everything feels and sounds. Despite some noticeable cost cutting on the US Passat everything does feel more solid and heavy than comparable cars from other manufacturers. But my Passat has had it’s engine taken apart and…
