If people can’t ignore a crying child that isn’t theirs, then that’s on them. Nobody should have to apologize for having an upset baby.  Others should invest in a pair of noise-cancelling headphones and learn to tune-out cause an adult minging is a lot more annoying than a child.

I don’t think anybody presented luxury items as a root cause, only a symptomatic example of poor financial literacy and decision making.

Even if regen reduced forward momentum when not on throttle, that would mean that you could stay on throttle fractionally longer with great erdeceleration once you’re off. ‘Perfomance’ impact would be negligible with all other things being equal.
