I don’t know if I’m missing something here, but in the UK where I live you can ‘spoil’ ballot. Which means you showed up to vote at the station but chose none of the candidates. Can you do that in the US?

I can understand what you were trying to do but you went about it in an incredibly inefficient manner. Its important to register in elections, even objections should be registered. What if everyone did what you did? The election data would simply show no voters. How are other disenfranchised and disillusioned voters…

You could have registered a ‘no-vote- or spoiled your ballot paper. Instead you stuck your head in the sand. You absolutely do not have the right to moan about the result.

If you don’t like any of the candidates you go to the polling station/ voting station and spoil your ballot. You actually take part, you get a say. You sit at home and play Candy Crush, you don’t get a say.
