Rust proofing?

I definitely wouldn’t want modern GM running a fighter plane program.

The hornet is $68 million, and the gripen is between $30 and $60 million depending on configuration.

Isn’t Saab defense separate from Saab automotive?

If the US military weren’t so much of a jobs program when it comes to procurement, this would be the obvious choice. It’s cheap to operate, still quite modern and compatible with all the latest doodads. But there would be multiple senators who would lose elections because they outsourced a military contact (and to a

See, I think I’d disagree there. Plenty of people spend $60k on a top of the line mustang, or mid tier BMW or Porsche that will depreciate. Buying a $60k vintage 911, or a NSX, or a Pantera, isn’t going to be more expensive than those, and if anything will be cheaper in the long run because you’ll get your money back

Fucking with another man’s automobile is against the rules.

Uh, no. I’ve been a reader of Jalopnik for years. And if making the site unpleasant for people who disagree with me is how we’re going to decide how things go, then so be it. This is my site, and I won’t go quietly into the night because some pissant thinks he’s safe from me because he’s in his mom’s basement.

Why? Why do you have to be a prick to someone who agrees with the political position but doesn’t want to mix his Wheaties with his Fruit Loops? How does anyone gain from that?

I’ll agree that Jalopnik used to be prevent the closest of the Gawker sites to being apolitical. And I’d also agree that, for the most part that was a good thing.

I think DC is probably always a good market for burner phones.

See, the real question is “what kind of dog turns into a Ferrari 250 GTO?”.

But only Mexican beetles.

Using the VAG marketing department as your linguistic authority is a far greater negligence than any pronunciation.

As someone who speaks quite a bit of German, fluent French and conversational Vietnamese and Spanish: shut the fuck up.

I actually pronounce Volkswagen “Folksvagen” (mainly just because it’s more fun to say that way), and because it makes me think of the stupidity of the Nazi propaganda surrounding “Volk”, but Porsche I refuse to pronounce with the e unless I’m speaking German. Because Porsche was a fucking Nazi who ripped off the

I speak several languages, and the thing that bugs me about the “say it right crowd” is how idiotic it is to pick this particular word to bitch about.

I speak German with a passable accent, but I say porsh, because I can either pronounce it perfectly or not at all, but saying it with a German accent feels weird and messes with my brain.

I actually suspect there are quite a few NASCAR drivers who would do well in open wheel. But the minute I think of them going to formula one, I cringe. F1 is such a dick sucking shit show, that I don’t blame anyone for not wanting to put up with the politics and bullshit. And as much of that as goes on in NASCAR, I’d

This is where I learned to drive. Definitely takes a lot of getting used to, but it can be a lot of fun. Also, you’re not actually going very fast. Most of the driving is done below 30 or 30 miles an hour.
