Came here to point out #2 as well. I was hate-reading the article (as I already think Mark Wahlberg is insufferable), and somehow thought even lower of him once I saw the implication that something about girls makes it more inappropriate to hear explicit lyrics than if it had been boys.

As someone who’s been bearded since 18 and shaving since 11, I can tell you it was a response to draconian dress code rules in school. Having to shave twice a day because of an arbitrary rule was damn near traumatizing. Plus, I’ve looked 30 since about 13, so it wasn’t ruining much
