Interesting comparison, I’d take out the “just” part though.  Nine miles quite a long distance.  My parents house in Chicago is nine miles from Navy Pier (South Shore to Downtown).  I’d bet that there’s a closer neighborhood to Englewood to draw a similar comparison (just not as drastic).  Great story!
