Uh, yeah sure dude. Sorry, I like my car. I also like living in Manhattan. I’m not going to give one up for the other. Yeah, it’s not a good daily driver but that’s not why I have it.

I commute with my weekend car (an older Ferrari) on occasion, especially if it happens to be off-peak hours.

I dunno man, I have an exotic and I live in NYC. I also hate track driving and rarely have the time to get out to do proper ‘grand touring’. I just like my car.

No one makes a workplace safety video like the Germans.

The Mustang II gets so much grief, but it was the right car for the times.

There’s an old joke in the IT industry. “Why don’t the British make computers? .... Because they haven’t figured out how to make them leak oil yet.”

For the record, I worked at Rover and then Land Rover HQs here in the UK for eleven years (now work for the UK HQ of a certain Stuttgart brand (no not Porsche))

Not illegal... but I used to go to a falafel joint I liked at strange hours of the night. The place was 45 minutes from where I lived, but I loved their Turkish coffee. One night I go with a couple of friends, one of whom has never in his life consumed coffee, only tea. We convince him to try a small cup and he loves

I’ve just bought a barn find CX GTI, 1987, over the phone. 61k miles on the clock and rust free, at least thats what the seller told me.. Paid $870.
It’s a bit worrying that the engine hasn’t been started in ten years. Picking it up on Saturday. What could go wrong? :)

I regret I have but one star to give.

He’s not saying they’re worth the money. He’s saying that because of what driving a Tesla says about them as a person they’re willing to look past the issues. If you owned a 4(3) series and it did any of these things you'd sell the car the minute you got it back from BMW

Because the interior of the Model S doesn’t change based on it’s options. The $120,000 Model S has the exact same interior as the $75,000 model.

I think someone would honestly say that people who are buying the Model X would not buy a S63.

No, they sell products which are an order of magnitude better. Go sit in a Mercedes E Class then in a Tesla Model S, and tell me which one is the $55,000 car and which is the $100,000 car.

Are you saying that Land Rover hasn’t improved over time?

Tesla doesn’t sell to typical consumers, it sells to evangelists. That’s why they get away with selling a sub-par vehicle for six figures. These cars are about virtue-signaling, not function.

Obligatory:

That driver really should have had the insight to know the water was too deep.
