No arguments w/ Okafor but if you’re saying he shouldn’t have drafted Embiid - even w/injuries - and Simmons isn’t a no.1 pick, and that Noel isn’t a justifiable selection at #6 overall, then that’s just fundamentally flawed, and also completely aloof from overall consensus, even as we stand here today.

Well Embiid looked liked a damn stud in his first year. Covington was that diamond in the rough that Hinkie found. Saric, an all-purpose tool player. Holmes and McConnell are NBA backups for their positions. They have more cap space than any team bar one. Etc. Etc.

Crazy to me that after years of slamming Hinkie and The Process.

You’re constituting wins as a measure of success for a team that was deliberately constructed to not win many games.

Hinkie picked Okafor. No-one thinks he is a genius.

They were bad for 4 years, including this season gone. And Hinkie was only there for 2.5. There’s some incredibly flawed logic being branded around on this site if you somehow think that is somehow worse than being in the same position as 70% of other teams that are aimless and float in mediocrity.

This was entirely predictable.

For a site that peddled Sam Hinkie diatribe for no apparent reason, or reasoning other than ‘sports is fun’, a think piece like this holds no weight.
