How long before we see a crash involving this thing with the meatbag behind the wheel in the bed

It’s typical for cell phones to become useless in many emergency situations, especially with events like natural disasters. AM has much greater coverage and dependability when it comes to critical information and updates. Not being the mainstream way during regular day to day activity doesn’t mean it’s not a vital

From this:

I’d say the Supra is worse, considering it’s not really a Toyota to begin with. I’ll pay for a flawed Z over that nonsense. Agreed about the insane cost of the GTR though.

That looks comfy as long as nobody drives off

You’ll note that other, more reasonable people did, indeed point out a number of cool tricks Apple has engineered

I wanted to engage in an actual debate as to the merits of apple’s alleged innovations. That’s why I said “honest question.”

So you knew the answers already so why pretend to not know or you did what the majority of tech literate people do and use the internet. So you’re either proving my point even more or just coming across as lazy.

That’s the game where no matter what answer you’re given, you won’t accept it for whatever reason. Innovation isn’t just inventing something brand new. Asking that question in 2024 with all the resources at your disposal is really just an attempt at a bad faith argument. Good luck with that. Honest answer.

The only people I ever hear talk about what phone they have is Apple people complaining about how messages from Android people don’t display correctly.

It’s more like “we have a long history of inventing all these things we used to think were impossible, so we have a better than even chance of being able to do anything eventually.”

The “we invented this thing so that means we can do everything” argument isn’t really an argument. The possibility and likelihood of something being invented isn’t uniform across every idea. Denying this basic fact just proves my point even more. Which one of those examples is in the realm of accurately replicating

It’s not me not believing in it. It’s you making things up and saying “it will happen” based off of nothing except “humans invent things”, which is as meaningless as pouring billions into AVs. Hypothetically speaking, even if humans were capable of making something even remotely close to what you’re talking about, a

You are literally just making things up. This isn’t a movie.

Based off of what, exactly? There’s literally no evidence to support that claim. Wishful and fictional Silicon Valley talking points don’t qualify. For context, at least $30 billion has been spent on Waymo and there are headlines like:

I’m not arguing that. I’m referring to human ability as being the reason why this...

We make decisions about what it is that we see, what that means, and what to do about it.

It’s not just about computer architecture or sensor fidelity. As much as I love scifi, the reality is that the level of sentience needed to just be at the level of a good driver is not going to happen. Everything that these tech companies are selling in that regard is complete BS and they know it.

Humans are stupid

Where’s StalePhish with the nonsensical excuses for this?
