Yep, her’s has a touch screen as well but between iDrive controller and steering wheel controls and gestures, the touch screen is pointless to me. Could go back to being in the hooded shroud like the gauge cluster. 

Gesture control sounded super gimmicky when it first came out, but it’s extremely convenient. Not as much as an arm movement, more like a twist of your finger in a spot in the air that’s very natural in my wife’s car. I find myself trying to do it in my truck too after a weekend driving her car.
