I love how Bob lets loose on the vocal here, especially the second “I can hear that lonesome whistle blowing” at 2:52. His band includes Roger McGuinn and Mick Ronson on guitars.

For my wife, Gena, on what would have been her 50th birthday.

Tough question, but try starting at the beginning of his Crimson tenure, Discipline (1981). I’d say it is the better one overall of the bunch. Or you could start bigger and later, with the double live B’Boom: Official Bootleg (1995), with strong material taken from multiple albums. Enjoy.

I saw them live four times. They put on a fun show. Just ask Mick Jagger! He was there the first time I saw them at the old Ritz on 11th St. (now Webster Hall).

You may know Adrian Belew for his brilliant guitar work with Frank Zappa, David Bowie, Talking Heads, King Crimsom, etc. This is a band he was in called The Bears. But wait!… Bandmate Rob Fetters is no slouch on guitar himself, this is his song, and he takes the lead.

Crazy Horse recruited Jack Nitzsche and Nils Lofgren for this 1971 record without the “Neil Young &” part of Neil Young & Crazy Horse, and “Dirty, Dirty” here also features Ry Cooder on slide guitar.

Yes, I saw that discussion, luv, and that is probably what made me think of posting this. Nothing against Keith or Ronnie, but Mick Taylor’s work with the Stones was transcendant.
