I think if Wolff wanted to, he could figure out a way to stay in Oakland but he's never really shown any interest or even made an effort to. He's wanted to move that team closer to Silicon Valley since he took over (remember his plan to move the team to Fremont?) while also blaming the Giants for his problems and

that's why it's so stupid. If the MLS went away for a bit, would anybody care or notice?

These have been around for awhile:

Oh, F the A's. Wolff's been looking to move that team since the day he took over and the only reason why he wants to move to Silicon Valley is so he can start reeling in sweet, sweet, cash from the hi-tech companies. If he really wanted to stay in Oakland he could (there's been proposals made to him) but he doesn't

I'm all for the players here, but a MLS work stoppage would even make Gary Bettman think it's stupid

All publicly funded stadiums are bad in general but football stadiums are often built in the middle of nowhere and most of the festivities surrounding the game are in parking lots. A lot of baseball stadiums, however, are built in urban, downtown areas so the crowds often visit local places like bars or restaurants

McNutly is the white "hero" HBO requested because they didn't think people would watch a show that was predominately about African Americans without a white lead. He was the character Simon uses to unlock the rest of the story but isn't really the point of the story. If there's a main character in the show, it's

looks like your comments are proving your point.

That's been my main problem with S8- the episodes are much smarter and well done but it's lost it's sense of fun. Tennant and Smith played a Doctor who was enjoying the hell out of being the Doctor and in turn, that's what made the show fun. Take that away from the show and it's just a pretty dumb sci-fi show

Don't worry- like most things this season in a week everybody will be calling this episode "meh" and calling for Moffat to quit. It happens after every episode that gets a rave review

If you watch the first season, the investigation takes up huge chunks of the plotline and they had already run through 2-3 possible suspects. I have no idea how they'd be able to keep that going, especially as the stories involving the townsfolks were not exactly the most exciting things

I really can't believe that all of all that he's written, GRRM's one regret is Tyrion's athletic prowess. I can think of about 10 things he's probably regretting right now

Maybe? The idea behind Leland being BOB was because they wanted to deal with the idea of this seemingly perfect family also being one of incest and violence which ties into a lot of themes in the show. They didn't know Leland was going to be BOB until when they had to do it but Leland was the obvious choice

I have no idea how they would have continued on without revealing the killer because having spent so much time in the first season, it would have felt really weird to stop spending so much time trying to solve it. How were they going to continue on without dragging it out forever? And it was the only great thing

Every country has this issue with the various leagues. It's a huge issue in English soccer as one of the theories for England's mediocrity in competitions is because of the EPL and Chelsea's best players mysteriously got "injured" before EuroCup qualifying a month or so ago.

It's kind of a chicken or the egg thing but the theory here is that if we develop just enough soccer players who turn into stars, it'll make the sport popular enough that a real soccer culture takes over and you see that happening more and more. I also think you see that soccer culture in immigrant neighborhoods,

He had the ball when he leapt and he had the ball when he landed. Thus the announcers, Strahan and the Washington football team WR's going nuts. That's nothing but a ticky tack call that reminds people why the league is can called the No Fun League

other places I've read said that Lena describes him in ways to make it sound like it's one person in particular- someone who was well known at Oberlin, so it doesn't quite come off as an innocent mistake as much as a really irresponsible, dumb one. The man in question has every reason to be upset and threaten to sue

I like to imagine the NFLPA doing nothing but sitting around the office waiting for somebody to call them about something football related and getting disappointed when the call is only a telemarketer.

This would be pretty typical of the NFL- handle a few things completely horribly yet still get rewarded afterwards
