@NaraVara: But doesn't it make the antenna internal AND make the phone bigger if you wrap it with a bumper?

There seems to be a lot of artifacts. But impressive nonetheless.

@chickdigger802: Actually Apple started pointing finger at people after everyone else (RIM and Nokia include) pointed fingers at them:

@Hairy Putter: Oh Lord. What have I done? I brought this into a completely unrelated post. Crap.

@NaraVara: I understand the tradeoff they made, and it was probably for the best. The iPhone 4 is a FANTASTIC device. But they could have made it a more open affair instead of saying "hold it different or buy a case". It would have made more sense do design an internal antenna because that's just like the external

...and no dis at Apple involved? What?

@Zipthebunny: Yeah, I'm waiting till next year to switch from my 3GS to an iPhone 4G/5. That's when my contract ends.

Why bash and smash a company or product as huge as the iPhone? Because it's not easy to swing the bat and miss.

@OreoExplosion: Also, because no phone has been as high profile as the iPhone 4. It's the best smartphone on the market (it has been rated that way). It comes from a long line of Apple successes.

@ihaveabu: No, they said they would reevaluate the situation at that time. They may continue it or they may have a fix for it.

@ZZZYZZZ: I wouldn't say my Macbook functions less than any other PC laptop. Actually, it works better and has lasted longer than any PC laptop I've ever owned. It's the same with my 3GS as well. Like Steve said, they try to make their cake and eat it too. It was just a design mistake. I do agree with that but there's

@fresh27001: ROFL! Every [phone] seems to have this problem. I tried blocking the signal with my hand on my 3GS and I was able to. This whole thing is blown out of proportion and I'm getting tired of hearing about it.

Well, Nokia and RIM's antenna's are INTERNAL meaning the outer shell wraps around them like a case anyway. You can attenuate the signal, but not as much or as easily. Apple put the antenna on the outside as part of the outer casing which was a bad move. These companies are making a lot of sense and I just wish someone

Allow me to "wire" you the money right away!

@snarky30: I think you meant "signals" [quotations].

@hopskipper: Yeah, it's great when there's actually an interesting story. But to post the same thing over and over, beating the dead horse to submission, and making things look bad when the numbers make sense is completely ridiculous and I stand by my post.

@Stymie99: "DEVELOPERS, DEVELOPERS, DEVELOPERS, DEVELOPERS, DEVELOPERS, DEVELOPERS, DEVELOPERS, DEVELOPERS...DEVELOPERS! Sweaty cracks!"
