I haven’t been in the AMG version, but I saw a $100k GLS at the auto show. I was surprised at the amount of cheap, hard plastic (examine the lower portion of the door cards) as well as some egregious fit and finish issues. Much better in my RRS Autobiography for the same money.

Medical school was the right time in my life for a Jeep Wrangler. Doesn’t check the good handling box on pavement, but handles better than a sports car off road. Trust me. You want to get this out of the way now before you start that family.

Why the need to say “fuck” in the headlines at all? I can’t let my kids peruse Jalopnik any longer.

HPDE

I have this HU in my 911. It works great. Well worth the $300 they are charging today.

faux turbo = CP no matter what.

I installed a wireless remote control to enable/ disable this fuse on my command. It was designed for the corvette crowd, but works just as well in this application.

996!!!

My vantage sees 1500 miles per year. The oil is changed annually. Can't imagine letting it go that long.

Also the debut of aluminum for Audi.

Audi Avus. I saw it in the flesh at the ‘91 LA auto show and it was stunning. Keep in mind what cars looked like in 1991. Also, it was the first time I had seen the w12

I like it. There are uglier cars.

Who voted nice price here?

You just shut your mouth. Just shut it!

996...

Doug, you seem to have a knack for finding and purchasing the crappiest examples of interesting cars. I have a 2008 V8 Vantage that has had no unscheduled repairs. I have also owned an Elise and several L322 Range Rovers without issue. At some point, do you need to reflect on whether or not it is just you?

I was just driven from the airport in one of these. Sorry, but the only area these are encroaching a Range Rover is price. The fit and finish, quality of materials, etc. is just not in the same league. That said, they succeed as a livery vehicle due to the massive size.

Enough with the damn touchscreens! They took the dedicated seat heater buttons out of my Range Rover and it still drives me nuts. Imagine rain or snow with challenging visibility and having to search for the virtual wiper button. This. Needs. To. Stop!!!

I have had an autobiography RRS for a year now. No complaints so far. I have also owned 4 previous full size Range Rovers, a first generation Range Rover Sport, 2 LR3s and an LR4. All have been reliable.

These prices are great news...
