Just throwing in another plug for Peep. It has the best Montessori style 'here are important basic lessons' stuff I've ever seen. Does my grad student heart proud. Also it has Joan Cusack and Megan Mullally doing awesome voice-over work.

Dinosaur train actually has a segment about distinguishing the fantasy from the reality from the theory, though.

I think Peep's Big Wide World deserves some love. It's got phenomenal voice actors (Joan Cusack!) and does really great basic breakdowns of critical thinking and science, stuff like 'how do you make a map from what's in your head to what another person could use?'

Well, the three classes are also, in some ways, the least generalist* and so way better for player customized hirelings than their RP companions who tend to have very generic builds.

That said, making your PC a tank does help out things a lot, at least for the initial play-through.

Well, but it's pretty dang easy for every character to get the 4 points of athletics that give you the biggest initial effect.

But that's the thing, there's actually a pretty high level of noise even about the undisputed stuff.
