Quail as a Feather or Gore as a Marx-Brothers Era Parody of a European prince were my favorites.

I freaking adored Fells Five.

Yeah, Nate's backstory stuff was just mind-numbingly weak and off tone. The bits with his Dad came closer to working than anything else, but, very honestly, that's because somehow the presence of his Dad made it less about Nate.

Yeah, putting aside probably correct post-modern theories about the ir/relevance of art, I think the speed and push of the non-art discourse is a major factor.

So, the bit with Peter dovetails with something I've been wondering about for a while. There's an article out on Matt Miller's run for congress (who has some odd details in common with Alicia's opponent) and it's an interesting first person run down of what it means to run for office. Here it is:

…and that defining moment went on to become AVC's favorite* basement.

That was the best.

I'm only nominally on your couch as it is.

The Silver-Realms contain them. They contain multitudes in their wave forms.

It's true, I have my own 'patrol leader's cabin' now. It is filled with half-painted miniatures and WoW-memorabilia. Truly, this is a golden era.

Yeah, classical physics being superseded is hard to dispute. That's basically the whole point. Though if you don't couch that particular supersession correctly you can enable some fairly poor views of scientific/intellectual progression - an issue that plagues the Big Bang versus Steady State conflict maybe a little

I'm an anti-realism fan myself.

Emo Phillips is amazing.

Actually, I'm willing to give him some credit for exactly that. Phantom Menace premier quality is looking consistently pretty good for what it's doing even as what it's doing is not so great.

There's a special independent sub-game called 'the Keep' that runs you through the events of the first two games without running you through the first two games. You'll get the basic plot points and you can import them into the third game so you get the history you want.

That's an interesting point, and I think there could be some really productive work done unpacking how the role works with differently with either gender or how you got a type that fluid in the first place.

I am, but I have no idea as English literacy is my specialty. For English illiteracy you need someone else. No, I don't know who!

Oh, was that cool?

If you're not playing the Fall from Heaven mods for Civ IV you aren't playing Civ.

Really? I thought it was well done. The montage of falling iron with hymns playing over it? That's exactly how I want my irony to work.
