As much as I hate that people harass the hard working devs on this game as being “lazy” or “incompetent” for decisions executives made, I think focusing onnthe one criticism you can’t do anything about is a big cop out by the leads.

Hang on, I’m a TF2 player, so I lack some context... am I understanding this correctly?

We aren’t just unhappy with the walk back of the story mode promises.

If we can’t turn back the clock, then what can we do? We can keep adding to and improving Overwatch 2. That is how we move forward. This means more maps, heroes, game modes, missions, stories, events, cool cosmetics, and features—an ever-expanding, evolving, and improving game.

I feel placing all the negative feedback on the shoulders of the pve mode really doesn’t capture why people are so disappointed with Overwatch 2. It’s certainly part of it, but the lack of the promised pve features exists only in the context of Overwatch 1's content being removed from the game for those features and…

They keep missing the point. WE DON’T WANT MORE HEROES!!! we want 2cp back, we want an overwatch 1 playable again so we can enjoy the game before every kit was retooled for 5v5. We want more maps and game modes sure but no heroes. We have enough heroes. We want a good TF2 clone not a shit LoL clone.

Stopped playing after a month or two when OW2 launched. Felt like I wasnt earning anything or progressing even with the battle pass. The unlockable skins are pretty useless if you dont even play those heroes.

We had lots of skins, heroes, and maps in the last Overwatch game.

Ever expanding game in all the ways except you know, the ones we promised when we sold it to you.

It’s really hard to justify at $50 especially with Microsoft dropping the quake 2 remaster with a mountain of new features for $10 including free upgrades to anyone who bought quake 2 before on PC. at $30 I think it would have been an okay deal, it’s still a great game, but above that is just crazy.
