The fact that he marched into twitter with an actual sink performing a stupid played out joke with a big stupid grin on his face on his very first day, stomping into a place that was basically dreading his presence as they knew he would do exactly this, is just jarring in its tone deafness.

I can just imagine Musk’s lawyers telling him about the WARN Act, and Musk making the jerkoff motion. Asswipe.

This is a major violation of the WARN Act, which you may recall as the thing that started the ball rolling on the complete destruction of Telltale Games. And a lawsuit has already been filed. I’m staying on Twitter to look it in the eye as it dies.

I mean, TFA was the first SW movie in ten years, it was always going to do bigger box office than whatever the followup was (especially since TLJ came out only two years later and there had been another SW movie released between the two).

It’s imperfect, but by FAR the best of the Sequel Trilogy. It was unexpected, beautiful, frustrating, thrilling, and, you know, we’re still talking about it. When was the last time anyone mentioned Rise of the Skywalker or whatever the fuck?

Sesame Street points out that monsters are fine and good.

David Zaslav is a monster and must be stopped at all costs.

So a bridge has been shut down in LA because of severe speeding, a lady killed six because of her high speeding, and now this of Heche reportedly going 90+.

Man, the 2010's were arguably the best decade in history for TV animation, and apparently we’re going to be following it up with a massive contraction of the industry. First Netflix cancels virtually every cartoon it had in the pipeline for the crime of not being Boss Baby, and now WB, which has been one of the

Liz Lemon David Zaslav: “Cross promotional. Deal mechanics. Revenue streams. Jargon. Synergy.”
Jack Donaghy Discovery Inc. board: “That’s the best presentation I’ve ever seen. Get started right away.”

Too bad they didn’t cover the part where, apparently, he hired nothing but white guys for executive positions after the merger.

Gotta love how Batgirl was canned to “protect the DC brand” when Ezra Miller has done more damage, especially to the Flash, than the Batgirl movie would ever do.

If Flash is amazing and the merged Discovery+ and HBO Max app is stuffed full of good content (and isn’t hamstrung with a bad UI like HBO Max had for longer than it should have), everyone will forget about this week.

The odds of those two things happening, though, is pretty slim, especially since it sounds like no

Discovery took on a load of debt in the merger - I think it was like $30-40 billion. Discovery shows are cheap, HBO shows are expensive, so they’re pinching pennies and dumping salaries to try and look like they’re profitable. It’s pretty terrible. Like, why buy WB/HBO if you’re just going to try to make it like

me neither!

I didn’t think the aggression was that passive

Bravo. A fantastic idea and article. Perfect for these times.

The problem I have with Brocolli saying things like “I believe in making characters for women and not just having women play men’s roles” is that she has been producing films since 1995 and I cannot think of a single memorable female role in any of those movies bar Judi Dench’s M, who of course was originally a male

The likely winner appears to be a boilerplate conservative republican of the late 90s/early 00s stripe. Mildly more sane than little maddy.
