Well, this completely puts my annoying neighbors in perspective. They drop their trash all over their yard (and mine), even though another neighbor has already asked them not to do so. At least they're not terrifying, rageaholic stalkers!

Yeah, teaching jobs are totally higher level. (I wish!) As for "higher level" jobs, if by that you mean traditionally white or pink collar jobs, people who are applying for those are just as likely to need a job desperately as anyone applying for "lower level" jobs.

For a character who has made such a big deal of discretion in the office (it's why she broke up with Paul Kinsey back in the day, after all - he had a big mouth), it's not surprising. This hits at the core of her professional identity.

Ugh, you're right! And if you watch Janie Bryant's video on the costumes for this episode ([www.amctv.com]), she talks about Peggy wearing a "much sexier" costume than normal in that scene. What you said just made the rationale behind that costume choice click for me. Ugh, ugh, ugh.

Pete certainly seemed to think it might make a difference, which is what prompted my OC, though you're right - Creepy McCarDealer was pretty steadfast in his creepery. I may just be projecting my Pete hatred a little too far :)

I'm pretty sure she's already been doing that (handling a lot of the money), because an earlier episode referenced how Lane had a great deal of trouble with the books without her. I forget which, but it's the one where she visits the office because she's afraid they're going to replace her while she's on maternity

We can only hope. How many of us have Pete in the "elevator shaft of doom" pool for the last episode of the season? (Sounds like a fun game of Clue.)

Ditto. It felt like she was strongarmed, through circumstance and Pete's (& Lane's) Machiavellian machinations.

Weiner's been perfectly ok with writing off relatively major characters before this (I miss Sal!), so I think Peggy's presence will at least be remarkably diminished (as Betty's has been this season). I'm with you, though, on the ambivalence about her quitting. Ted Chaough's minor roles in previous episodes make his

Not necessarily - it opens up the possibility for a whole lot of legislation limiting abortion based on "bad" reasons (I'm guessing most of it will be limiting abortion that is not due to rape, incest, etc.). It's incredibly frustrating.

Point taken, but that is not necessarily an option for everyone. Besides, what happens if more and more employers begin to require such a thing?

Unfortunately (and I don't know if this would be the case in the UK), some employers are now requesting passwords to applicants' social media accounts: [jezebel.com]. Just knowing how to wield the privacy settings may not be enough, at least not for now (and not in the U.S.).

Love baseball. I used to work for a minor league team, and if working in the proverbial sausage factory (so many puns, all of them intended) didn't make me stop loving baseball, nothing can.

The first post from awesome Gabi was enough to inspire me to go bikini shopping. This is a big deal for me, because I've always done the halfass tankini thing that just floats up your stomach when you're trying to swim. This one is making me resolve to go find one, come hell or high water (pun intended). I'm going to

Leaving aside the "OMGHESHOULDN'THAVE" argument - because, really, other people have countered that stupidity in a far more eloquent manner than I could right now, anyone else with me in thinking that the Clintons are pretty damn badass?

Apology mad libs=fantastic. Mind if I adapt one for Alabama (home state) & Virginia (current residence)? This would save me so much time (and you would, of course, get a nod in the credits)

Noooooo! Please don't ruin Chris O'Dowd for me!

I will immediately subscribe to said blog.

Pretty sure it's the immorality that makes it fun for so many people :D
