It was a weird national thing at the time. I remember that the trial was wrapping up while I was in 4th grade, and everybody was listening spellbound for the verdict. We had to go to PE class, but we knew that the verdict would be coming soon, and our teacher told us that she would continue to watch and let us know if

Well... you’re not the most irritating person I’ve ever seen on the internet. I suppose that’s something?

Agree 100%. Also (and this is something rarely done in these movies) a story where there is a secret militant wing of the Federation that wants to start a war with the Klingons? What a fresh and hip new idea! Certainly nothing like THE UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY which was an amazing mystery/adventure film in the same vein!

I disagree with you that it is working out. Felicity constantly seems to want to break up for some reason and have a cry, and Oliver has to go because “it’s too dangerous to love someone”. They have terrible chemistry and their story is dreadful, I would really like Felicity to die off and avoid romance altogether for

The Second-in-command thing that you mentioned (there were 70 of them, and Khan was only programmed to come out first. They could have opened another) is a good one. I was hoping they would do a “Where No Man Has Gone Before” thing with Gary Mitchell. Having Cumberbatch be Khan made no sense, and the whole deception

Yep! I mean... there were a lot of problems. First off, you don’t get a white guy to play a latin guy who played an indian guy in the original series because that is super confusing. Introduce Khan to Kirk earlier (maybe as an aid to the Admiral) doing things that make him look oddly subservient to the Admiral... like

Give yourself a pass here, because the way they set it up in this movie was just awful. The Wrath of Khan brought an interesting character from the television series and blatantly told you he was going to be seeking revenge in the title. The whole movie is about that, and it plays out in an interesting dance.

Into

Right? And it feels so much like his story is unfinished. To me, he was never a bad guy! He was inducted into Hydra before SHIELD by someone who took over as a Father Figure to him (so I’m not really sure why everyone is all “BETRAYAL!” with him), his family were monsters (confirmed by both of his brothers), and he

I think it deserves to be on there far more than Sunset Overdrive...

Well, I hardly would put Star Trek online above the shows in terms of canonicity (especially when they are setup in the “prime” universe and the game can’t continue if it is erased by the new movies), but I’ll briefly dive in.

Now, not all Trek episodes will show explicitly that the timeline is erased and replaced, but

I think they should not have Daryl end up being gay, but just keep him as he is now. Daryl seems kind of asexual to me, having no interest really in either sex. I think any relationship may ruin Daryl a little bit, and his lone wolf persona adds some gravitas to him. As for love triangles, I don’t think Aaron is that

Based on what I understand, she will also be on Agents of SHIELD still along with the spin off. They can do whatever they want, I’m still really bummed Ward “died”.

See... I don’t like the Michonne/Rick coupling. I think they work great as friends, and are strong allies, but I don’t get “romance” looking at the two of them. To be fair, I don’t really see it from Sasha either (as she’s a bit crazy in the banana basin), but she at least seems to fit Rick’s interest of hysterical

Skipping the story is annoying, but how about talking over the headset right in the middle of the cutscene?!?!? That things in my freaking ear! I can’t hear what the characters are saying if you’re going to be making Mystery Science Theater 3000 commentary during crucial dialogue!

We’re just superior to some people

I think that he’ll end up with Sasha, so that should fit the bill.

Can we focus on the real problem in that situation though? What the hell were his mother or Rick thinking about dragging him out of the house like that? It wasn’t their only option! The first, and best (in my opinion), would be to punch the kid’s lights out and rig up a carrier like what Judith is using to carry him

Nope. If you think that’s all it boils down to, you may just not be capable of comprehension.

You can no more shame television shows from the 60s for some of their dumber content than you can for their poorer graphics. Those were a function of the time, and since we’re 50 years beyond it we shouldn’t be using them as examples of how to do things. Old School Star Trek is enjoyable in part for it’s gross

The game is interesting, but hardly fair. For example, I got “Billy Holiday” as my favorite musician and “Catch-22" as my favorite book. I’ve never listed to Billy Holiday nor read Catch-22, but one would certainly do so if one were undercover.

A lot of things in the 80s were dumb. We don’t bring fanny packs and florescent clothing back because we’re supposed to have learnt our lessons. My problem is that you’re excusing this film for being dumb because it is for children.

Take a look at Batman: The Animated Series. Absolutely not a shred of dumb in sight
