There is an issue that occurs with games where some people (and I’m not implying you’re one of them) think that the more complex the game is the better.

Take a look at the Call of Duty franchise. My first thrust into Call of Duty was with Call of Duty 2. Absolutely loved that game. Next game I played in the series was

Have you played the game yet? Or any of the previous games? I’m thinking not given the misinformation you’re spouting, so I’ll clear it up one at a time.

1) Isn’t the core concept of Battlefront two warring sides killing each other or am I mistaken? Well, you’ve broken it down about as far as you could to make a

Thank you very much for this article. I actually watched the Fallout 4 video earlier today, and was confused as to why it was marked as an “Ad”. I thought it would therefore just be a shameless plug for the game, but Conan took the game to task for elements he considered completely boring. I could do with more ads

I believe you’re out of luck. Their current planet offerings are Endor, Hoth, Sullust, Tatooine, and eventually Jakku. You’ll be able to spend a pit of time in a rebel/imperial base, and Endor has some trees, but it’s pretty empty.

It’s not nostalgia, it’s has almost none of the content or quality of the previous games. I agree that it looks great, but if fancy new graphics were the mark of good Star Wars we would have been going ape shit over the Phantom Menace when it was first released. There has got to be something beneath the surface, and

That’s complete nonsense. A ton of companies release “HD” or “Updated” versions of the old series with no complaints and many sales. Give me Battlefront 1 or 2 with updated visuals I can play on my current console and I’ll give them $80. OR come out with a game called Star Wars Battles/Assault/Destruction and keep

That’s a facile argument. I continue to play Battlefront 1 & 2 to this day. There is no nostalgia affecting my knowledge of this game and how short it comes to being as good as its predecessors. Have games come a long way since Battlefront 2? Of course they have, it was 2 console generations ago. That doesn’t change

I disagree. I’m a huge Star Wars fan, and it is because of that I can’t get behind this game. It’s like they spent all their time and money on visuals and absolutely no time on making it “Star Wars-y”. Battlefront 1 & 2 were incredibly well created Star Wars games. This Battlefront is an absolute mess that ignores the

One of these things are not like the other! Let’s play videos would be watching someone else in their own story. The point of a video game is not necessarily to be difficult, especially not story driven games like Fallout 4. It’s the equivalent of saying “Why go watch a movie? Just listen to someone describe the story

You’re forgetting the rest of the scene. Luke is taking off in his X-wing to go save his friends, when Ghost Ben turns to Yoda and says “That boy is our last hope”. Yoda responds “No, there is another”. He wasn’t saying that Luke was the last Jedi, he was saying that Luke was the last chance to stop Vader and the

I agree, so remove him and the Podrace scene entirely. It should either be in the very beginning as a fun introduction before we get into the meat of the story, or it should be completely removed as it is a distraction from the stor!

Loved your (review/recap/recollection?) but I disagree with a number of points that you made...

1) I completely agree that the beginning is far too slow, and while the Trade Federation is obviously a rocky start, the real culprit of time are the Gungans. I, like yourself, will not go into specifics with Jar Jar, but

**SPOILERS FOR ANYONE WHO HASN”T PLAYED THE FIRST HOUR OF THE GAME**

The way I’m currently playing it is as a father desperate to find his son, and while I’ve done a few missions thus far, it was really only to gather supplies or intel for this quest, so I’m still both really low on level and really light of armament.

Leia should not be a general. She was a political leader of the Rebellion, not a military leader. She should be taking up a position similar to Mon Mothma in RoTJ, in charge of the Rebellion as a whole but relying on Crix Madine or Admiral Ackbar for their tactical expertise, similar to what a President would do.

Okay, because so far I’m really confused. I went to this antenna in the north early on and had to run away with how much my butt was getting kicked. So I decided to abandon the people in the north that need my help and make my way directly to diamond city. I was in Lexington (I think) and got trounced by Raiders and

The duel at the end was fine, and I really enjoyed it as a child. The podrace is brought up a lot to support that movie, but I never liked that scene. It has almost nothing to do with the rest of the movie (except as a bet to get a part/slave) and revolves around characters we haven’t seen all movie or those we were

For some people the challenge is less important than the narrative surrounding your powers and past. For example, once I played Oblivion enough to figure out their leveling system I went ahead and spent countless hours simply working on my stats (running, jumping, climbing on trees) to boost myself to greater

Yep, that was ugly wasn’t it! However, I would disagree with the notion that this wasn’t done in an effort to create a world where all people can life in peace.

The biggest key phrase I can mention here is “Eastern Bloc”. I’m sure you know it, but I’ll expound in case our conversation is monitored by KageP or anyone

I’m not at all going to say that the US is free from having blood on their hands. Certainly nobody that sits at the big kids table is going to be innocent of such in their long history. The US has things like that even before we got the call to the head of the classroom, including things like the trail of tears.

What

I don’t know about that... I haven’t seen Hayden in a ton outside of the Star Wars prequels, and they had him acting as woodenly as Portman or Neeson. We know that those two have range, so is it possible that Christenson does as well? I don’t know... but I didn’t find his acting to be any more annoying as the others.
