One thing that I will say about machine vision is that we’re probably not seeing its direct vision that is coming from the eyes but the interpretation of the mechanical brain as it processes the information. After all, the Terminator probably doesn’t have to read the actual display to know this information, as it is

The hand that is grabbing it is that of a white female, not a black male. It could easily be going to Leia or the new female lead (I don’t know character names yet). We don’t assume that Kylo Ren grabbed Vader’s lightsaber and made modifications just because it’s red, right? Even though we know someone fished out

I’ll agree to that as well. I hated a ton about that movie, but the casting was generally pretty good, the graphics are fairly decent (I still hold the Battle at Sector 001 in “First Contact” to be among the best starship battles), and... I’m really racking my brain trying to think of another...

The villain was

Not... really...

I don’t want to be an a-hole here, but Lightsabers don’t exactly come in a whole bunch of colors (in the movie-verse anyway). Unless you ask for special permission from George Lucas, you’re stuck with a Blue or a Green weapon when you’re on the side o’ the Jedi. It’s possible, but I don’t think it

Hey! A direct quote from one of my posts instead of a biased interpretation! You’re getting better...

I’m not saying he’s necessarily absolved, because he’s worked with those two in the past and should know they’re terrible writers. I’m just saying he shouldn’t take all the blame. There is more than enough to go around, and those two deserve to be tried right next to him...

If Spock and Kirk clashed, it was calmly and only verbally (unless some sort of spore is involved). Spock has nothing but respect for the chain of command and the rules, and would never do anything to compromise those unless it was specifically necessary for a mission.

To be perfectly fair to Abrams (who I also blame for Star Trek ‘09) didn’t know much about Trek and probably relied on Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci for their knowledge to write the script... and those two are some of the worst writers in Hollywood. They’re the ones I blame more for the terrible story.

I always thought lightening storm in space sounded a lot better than a supernova that was going to wipe out the entire galaxy...

I don’t care that you think you’re a banana in a bandanna, Iran is never going to make it to the moon in the next 6 months. (This is as accurate a response to your statement as yours was to mine. Try reading my actual posts next time!)

Then I apologize to you a second time! I had mistook your sincerity for sarcasm, and was hedging my bets. It was unworthy of you and I shall endeavor not to repeat my mistake. I thank you for your support and will attempt to continue to keep calm and rational in online debates.

Not a horror movie villain, but I’ve seen others posting some horror television villains that have been buried in my psyche for awhile.

This one in particular freaked me out beyond comparison. From Are You Afraid of the Dark? the episode titled “The Tale of the Ghastly Grinner” was 1 part clown, 1 part zombie, and 2

Very true, but how much of the game ends up coming out buggy or without promised features because of this? In this Kickstarter setup people get to tell and fund the developer exactly what they want. In many ways this is an improvement to people who may scrap items or even a whole project because they don’t see that it

Oh, so maybe your should read more because clearly you didn’t get it. I said arguments first, then you objected to the term. I was clarifying that we were arguing and not debating. Perhaps if you were to actually learn to read comments you wouldn’t find them boring? Perchance? Hmmmmm?

This is just another cowardly

My problem wasn’t just with content removed. The basic problem you’re always going to have with these types of movies is that 98% of child actors are terrible. That’s unavoidable, but it doesn’t make it forgivable. We also had a slew of interesting spells with unique properties get dissolved to flashing lights and

Not... really. Witch burnings have already been referenced in the books as a passing essay assignment where no witches were really harmed, and a few actively seeking them out for fun. Besides, there were more than enough witch burnings in Europe that the Salem Witch Trials aren’t really of note.

I may be in the minority, but I thought all of the Harry Potter films were deplorable. As close to the worst possible thing you could make coming from pretty good source material. I went to Sorcerer’s Stone eagerly, Chamber of Secrets with great trepidation, and had to be dragged to the next few. I refused to see the

Let me start off by saying that I’m not a fan of many elements of this Batman movie. I don’t like old Batman. If they wanted to try it eventually, I’d be okay with it, but this is the first of the interconnected movieverse. In my opinion, they should be sticking almost entirely to canon as much as is possible. Marvel,

(sigh) Yes, I am arguing. What I’m not doing is debating. Debating has the formality of factual events or theories using logic. Arguing is informal, is typically personal (or uses more personal references), and isn’t concerned with strict facts. You’re making it sound like you’re referencing a guide to all true facts

There was a game I used to play around ‘94 that appeared to be based off an old DOS Star Trek game, and was one of the best games I’ve ever played. It was clearly TOS inspired and you had to go searching the galactic map and enter solar systems to defend and destroy Klingon invaders. While doing that you could also go
