Egypt and Rome? Called Empire? That will probably be a game set in the late first century BC! Caesar, Pompeii, Cleopatra, Marc Anthony! Will we play Brutus? Can’t wait for the “Tu Quoque”!

It’s so strange, but whenever I hear somebody referring to the colour of my skin and my gender in combination with a statement of what people of that skin colour and gender are like, I get kind of upset. The same apparently goes for many who share my skin colour and gender.
It seems so, but I hope not. I always liked the flow of the previous Uncharteds where you had high-octane action with immersive but laidback cutscenes. In the latter you can put the controller down and just consume.
Interesting, for me it was exactly the other way around. Really tried hard to like the Witcher series, but to me it just doesn’t click.

I can see your predicament here, Mike. I also respect your personal feelings about this as well as you trying to make the Funny Pages a place that is most centrally about having fun.
That’s kind of cool that these people came to this idea through Civ, but daily household budget keeping is something they taught my grandmother at domestic science school (what a weird translation of Dutch huishoudschool that is, Google’s fault).

I honestly think that will be too late for the game to become a hit: hype wave is already passing rapidly and will not ramp up enough for June.
It’s damn hard getting grants as an archaeologist. There is a very slim chance that gaming and archaeology will be picked up by any type of funding agency.
