TikTok is owned by a Chinese company (which is controlled by the Chinese government), collects biometric data on users, and Chinese admins have full access to all of that data.  These are documented facts.  It’s not racist against Asians to say that TikTok is spying on you.

So, what’s the solution?  Beyond living in the woods in a cabin.  I choose not to use TikTok(for a multitude of reasons, but primarily, it’s so China doesn’t get all of my data), I’m not on FB, but I have a mic and a camera on my phone.  If someone really wants your data, they’re going to get it.

I didn’t start with a full charge and I also was going faster than their recommended 70 mph which will also cut range. Add in max a/c etc. and it chews into range. If I’d had 100% battery when leaving Menlo Park and had gone slower on a cooler day, it’d likely have just made it sans charger.
