The one that always gets me is seeing someone do CPR on tv, they barely even touch the person. It’s so unrealistic and I know that from taking 1 class. And the success rate is absurdly low compared to what you see on TV, it’s dismal really.

I still think it’s fucked up how Bobby went for Margot about supposedly fudging her age. As someone who has always been told I looked 35 when I was 16-24ish, it’s really not a good feeling to be told that.
Fuck this. The NCAA and the banners don’t mean anything anymore anyway. If you take away a piece of fabric, does it change the fact that they beat Michigan? No. The NCAA fumbles over itself time and time again when it comes to actual crimes committed by programs it “oversees” (Notre Dame, Penn St, Michigan St, etc.)…
Leslie Jones’ commentary after the free skate: “If they weren’t dating, they’re dating now.” [date = fuck, IMO]
You don’t see a difference between debunking a magic act and pushing someone to commit murder?
I can’t be the only one who read “Rhode Island’s youngest state senator” in the headline, glanced down to see a video freeze-frame of Paul DiMaio, and wondered “that’s Rhode Island’s youngest senator?”
I know emotions are high right now, and I’m not a gun owner and never plan on being one, but...
This is actually a really important issue. So many people get outpriced and lotteries for “affordable” apartments in luxury buildings for tax breaks are not covering it for people and especially families priced out of neighborhoods. Who do you think you get to legally pay terrible wages in service industries? NYC…
There is also a bio pic in the works about Ada Lovelace, daughter of Lord Byron and inventor of the theories behind the computer. It’s a good time to shop around your script about some great, but uncelebrated woman scientist!
Right. It can be both that she has terrible taste in men, and that these men are terrible people that post revenge porn online.
I don’t care who you are, how morally bankrupt people may perceive you, or who you’ve pissed off by doing what: revenge porn is never ok. End of story. I’m glad she’s trying to take legal action.
Is it moral to rank the McElroy brothers if you don’t think they’ll ever see it? (For rankings other than oldest, middlest, and sweet baby-est)
She’s got it all wrong: Sweatpants are awesome for regular life, but terrible for working out. There’s too much fabric, so increased friction. Plus, when you sweat, they take forever to dry. Sport tights/leggings are the far superior choice for working out, from a practical POV.
I remember, as a child in the 80s, getting both Washington’s and Lincoln’s birthdays off as school holidays.
There have been so many Great Story, Jeopardy Contestant! stories lately. Alex (who I am beginning to suspect is an android) never knows how to respond so he keeps saying “Good for you!”
This looks like Mario died at 30.
Amsterdam is a lovely city; I really enjoyed my time there.
And youth arts, the conductor fired this past summer being the tip of the iceberg, and ballet.
It crosses sports and national boundaries too. Britain is in the middle of a terrible scandal right now with a former youth soccer coach. It started with this mortifying disclosure from a now-retired pro (details like: after years of abuse, the coach started dating the player’s older sister and came over to the…
