That is certainly true. It can’t be denied that the conservative disdain/indifference to AIDS did a great amount of harm too. This is one case where I think extremist views on both sides did damage and the answers lay somewhere in the middle.

Yes, I think this is a case where the current sex positive attitudes are clashing with the reality that total sexual freedom had disastrous consequences in the 80s.
