True, I haven’t been to a Louisiana Popeyes.  It makes sense that they would be better closer to their home territory.

I’ve been to about twenty various Popeyes in my life and never have encountered one that didn’t have slow and indifferent service.  The chicken is still worth it but Chik-fil-A kicks Popeyes’ butt when it comes to speed and service.

It is Popeyes, so I am sure that the chicken is tasty. But why does every joint except Chik-fil-A insist on drowning their chicken in mayo?  If places want to imitate Chik-fil-A lay off the damn mayo and offer sauces on the side to apply!

I get why people may have wanted an Obi-Wan movie but I feel like a TV show would be a better showcase for the character. Instead of putting Obi-Wan into huge CGI battles, the show could explore his life in exile in-depth and how he probably helped the Rebellion behind the scenes.

All of the House heads are memorable characters.  Hot mess Dimitri has an online following and I hate the idea of abandoning my first choice, that magnificent bitch Edelgard.

I’ve long been an Amy defender, partly because that is my name. Amy gets a bad rep for three main reasons, only one of which is legit:

I was just at the faculty orientation for the college where I teach and they noted that 65% of the students were women. Not that boys skipping college is necessarily a disaster; I know a few boys who just graduated high school and they chose vocational training and the military, both legit paths to careers. But there

Winter is a good name but I am not sure that naming your child that in August is untimely or hopeful.

The idea that cats hate water is misleading. I have a college friend who lives on a houseboat in England and she told me that cats, including her own, routinely jumped on and off the boats to frolic in the water.  Maine Coons just do swimming best because they’re the greatest cat breed!

What so defense attorneys should only defend innocent people? That’s not how the legal profession worksAnd there’s a pretty decent chance von Bulow was innocent.

Artemis Fowl is a popular book series but the last installment was seven years ago.  And other popular book series like the Percy Jackson books didn’t result in huge franchises.  But who knows, maybe the movie could be successful.

Disney has loaded this year with its most lucrative properties likely because it will ensure that Disney+ has a rich lineup of new hits to premiere. But this front-loading has some cost. The Lion King is running out of steam a tiny bit (not that it won’t be a huge hit) partly because Disney chose to put out three live

In some cases, having a prominent adaptation must be a bad thing for some comics/books. So many fans of the TV Lucifer love it for the character relationships and those relationships (and a lot of the TV characters) just aren’t in the comic.

The uninspired direction and bland look at the first Venom were big drawbacks but the movie had something in the fun interplay between Eddie Brock and the symbiote.  A new director could make the sequel a lot better.

If Sherra was beaten to the point of disfigurement, as her lawyer says, it is odd that she took a deal for a rather long prison sentence instead of hoping that a jury would be sympathetic.

The real test will be with Scorsese’s The Irishman, a movie with a huge budget ($200 million for a gangster movie!) that may or may not come out this year.  With that budget, Netflix would be ill-advised not to give it a wide release if they want any return on investment.

The Good Dinosaur is listed as a Disney film, but it should be with the Pixar films.  Granted, it’s pretty bad so nobody should consider it, but still.

True, it would create a terrible precedent. It makes me less likely to want to vote for Warren, Harris, and Buttigieg because they are in favor of it.
