It honestly pains me, but I love Shangela's "Damn, Tina!" realness in that commercial.

Let's take the optimistic view and say this was a Ru- & producer-motivated decision for Phi Phi to amp up the drama even more.
Pam Trellis and Genevieve were right, she's cute, but she needs to be devastating. Dida is a sweetheart. I wish she could bring the feeling from her LSFYL to her general drag performance.
Exactly - he's not color-correcting for the natural shadow of his stubble, which will be there no matter how close he shaves. He's doing women's makeup, not drag queen makeup.
Please find and watch Season 1. Your love of Ongina will only be magnified.
Yes! Poor Pandy, the noted Susan Lucci of Drag Race. I was so sympathetic to her, and by extension, to a lot of other queens, because once one judge decides they don't like your look, you are kind of fucked. I mean, you can't exactly go out and buy new wigs and gowns during the competition, so you either have to wait…
@avclub-e9308ddd417ab6c88042a71f916af7a5:disqus The fact that Willam said that about himself is one of the reasons why I really do respect him. I admire someone who can dish it out and take it, which is pretty rare.
@avclub-66ba7cc7c85dbc682f15082fb37daabb:disqus Yes! Jacob for TB and Potes for ANTM. The only worthwhile things left on that site.
So the balding bitch line was about Santino after all! He is arbitrarily cruel about fashion, and I think he comes off looking kind of desperate. I wish that we would get to see Latrice take him on. I also admit that I can be kind of tacky, but I liked Latrice's look tonight. I thought the colors were great and the…
Lashauwn gave us "This is not RuPaul's Best Friend Race!" which earned her immortality in my mind. Alisa Summers though, immediately forgotten.
The more we learn about Willam, the more I feel like he is total new money - he can buy expensive shit, but he has no taste. It doesn't matter if you are wearing Dior foundation if you admittedly look like a Thundercat. The vapid trailer park princess might be less of a character than we think.
@avclub-7cf8d5b2bafa3bd7fb4ea254febf6308:disqus Oh I can't picture Willam sharing her spotlight with anyone! If she can't be the prettiest, she wants to be the funniest, and that doesn't leave room for Shangela.
@avclub-d899e4f8112832f484de338cafe88d76:disqus It's because she looks like when the aliens in Mars Attacks dress up like sexy ladies.
I do think Latrice selected magazines based on who would have fun with them like she said on Untucked, which was refreshing. They were pretty flat overall. I loved Sharon's Edie Beale realness and am pretty convinced they are just trying to keep it from being too obvious that she is at the front of the pack.
If Shangela is on the All Stars season, I am starting a major fire. I wouldn't mind seeing Jessica Wild, I had a soft spot for her. "I love this drink."
@persia2:disqus (Because there is no such thing as a too long thread) I must admit that as someone who has an immature streak, if someone were pissy that they didn't get/weren't a part of my inside joke, I would gladly double down on it, just to be obnoxious. I think you make a good point about how long it actually…
I would have to go through the FourFour archives, but it makes me think of an episode of America's Next Top Model where they blurred Jay Manuel's nipple. Like, really? We're at that point now?
@persia2:disqus Shangela was on the "Advanced Gay" episode of Community, and on the 100, she was great. She's a very strong performer and actor, but she needs other people to drag her up right.
@avclub-28040883e1f3b81512dd29ef2c437684:disqus Sometimes I feel like Raja and Manila were the only ones on that season to get the joke of calling themselves Heathers. At least Raven got it on Drag U when she said that she was a Veronica.
It's total armchair psychoanalysis, but I felt like Delta and Carmen were happy…
I wonder why Season 1 isn't on Netflix Instant. I've been obsessed from the beginning, and I loved that it was so obviously drag on a dime.
