A WGA writer wrote a comment on AV Club in April saying basically the same thing. That yeah while the CEO and other execs should make less, those ~50 million bucks/year (or whatever) are a drop in the bucket and there’s no possible way to compensate the writers and crew on 10 or 15 bucks per subscriber.

Hot take: 10 bucks a month can’t produce and compensate the folks who make 30 new TV/movie properties every month.
