By the end of the 2020s, there were only 11 actors, starring in 4 different IP franchises.

Is she really in it? Because she sure wasn’t anywhere in that trailer (right??)

I admit to not being a paper comics person so never knowing more than what gets made into movies, but what does this lady and her clairvoyance (?) power have to do with spiders or the Spider-Man world?

Are they really? The Phase 4 movies have more variety than the Infinity Saga. Good or bad, the range from Black Widow to Eternals, to Shang Chi, to No Way Home is pretty large. Maybe they just need to be better movies.

Thanos’ hunt for the Infinity Stones didn’t actually feature in the plots of any movie until Avengers: Infinity War. He was barely glimpsed a couple of times before that, as the force behind Loki’s invasion of NYC and as Gamora and Nebula’s kidnappy father figure.

How much of this garbage is there? There’s a blind love, a masked love, a married in 30 days love, a naked love, and naked but also out in the woods love, wtf

Fuck you Nate

The real Loki is dead by Thanos and the variant is now the Timeline God or whatever. We’ve probably seen the last of Hiddleston in the role.

Not really. The Root had far more trolls in 2020 than they have the past 18 months. In fact, it barely had any engagement at all. The average article there would have 4 total comments in the few months before they closed it.

This reminds me of how the horserace media writes about bad political outcomes after making sure they happen.

Brand new sentence

Yeah that’s a good comparison

“What’s the sitch?”

My fragile masculinity NEEDS this movie to bomb. I almost didn’t make it through Barbillion

The emergence of social media 2.0 (especially reddit) about 6 years later breathed new life into the Prequels in the form of great memes. Also, a fondness for the good parts like the worldbuilding and Space Jesus Ewan McGregor overshadowed the mechanical failures of the films.

The Prequels are amazing.

Weird, I never disliked it as much as the memes in 2013-2015, and also did a rewatch just last weekend. And still don’t dislike it. Not in the top 20 either though.

Nothing at all is changing right now. It takes a massive ship like the MCU 4 years from a new idea, to the time it is actually on screen. And that number is before there were strikes.

Depends on context. In the heuristic sense, the MCU hasn’t captured the magic of 2011-2019, and may never again (it isn’t that world anymore, the core group of us who were like 20 years old then are 35 now, nothing lasts forever, etc)

Oh right lol
