Never remotely implied that all lawyers or SE’s make 500k. I used the example of a fictional lawyer or SE who *DO* make 500k. Insert any other example you like: cardiothoracic surgeon, business owner, dentist, CFO, etc.

True but you also can’t think of league minimum players like “regular workers” who make 500,000/year salaries. It’s something they’ll make for maybe 2-7 years, if lucky. The lawyer or software engineer who makes 500k will make that for 25+ years.
